The American Heart Challenge has kicked off for all 5th and 6th grade students and runs through March 9th.
All donations are due by March 9th
It's time for March Book Madness in the Boone Middle School library! If you would like to participate, there are brackets in the library for you to fill out and turn in. Voting for your favorite books will start the week of February 27. Various prizes, including coupons for free tacos at Taco Johns, will be given to the most correct brackets at each grade level once the book champion has been decided.
7th Grade Boys BB team will Host Perry Tonight at 4:15, the cost is $4.00 to get in. Bring your parent and Cheer on your fellow Toreadors!!
8th Grade Boys BB will practice 3:30-5:00 in the Franklin Gym tonight.
Tonight is the Jazz For All Ages Concert, featuring the Middle School Jazz Band. The concert starts at 6pm in the high school commons. Jazz students need to arrive by 5:40 to the stage in the commons to warm up. Jazz students also need to remember to take their instruments home with them tonight after school! We hope you can join us!

congenital heart defects, nutrition security, CPR training, mental well-being and more as we work to end heart disease and stroke.
Along the way students will meet some of the kids they’re helping while learning about mind and body health.
Steps to get started:
Download the American Heart Challenge app or visit heart.org/AHC to register.
Select a daily health challenge including Think Positive or Choose Kindness
Set a fundraising goal and send emails, texts and post on social media to invite family and friends to support
your goal.

Today for lunch we will be serving Crispito, Mexicali corn, salsa, lettuce, and mixed fruit
Congratulations to all the band students who participated in the solo and small ensemble contest this weekend. Special recognition to Kohl Bailey on trumpet and Karma Kruckenberg on flute for the best solo award for the day. The 8th grade combined ensemble was awarded the best ensemble of the day and the 7th grade combined ensemble was the honorable mention of the day. Good performances all around!
Today the 8th Grade Boys Basketball team will host the ADM Tigers here at the Middle School at 4:15.
The 7th Grade Boys Basketball team will be playing at the ADM Middle School today at 4:15 also.
They need to be dismissed from class at 2:35 and the bus will leave at 2:45.

Solo and Small Ensemble contest for 7th and 8th grade band and orchestra students is this Saturday, Feb. 11th at Boone Middle School. 8th grade band students and 7th grade small group band students will be in the middle school band room and can check their performance schedule on their google classroom, email, or boone middle school band facebook page. For Orchestra students - your schedule is just on Google Classroom and is for all 7-8 grade small group orchestra students and will be in the orchestra room. Contest starts at 9:00 - Family is welcome to attend and watch the performances!
Valentine’s day is next week and our Student Council is helping us celebrate. The Student Council will be selling boxes of candy hearts and valentine suckers on Tuesday, February 14th from 7:45 A.M. to 8:10 A.M. and then during your respective lunch period only. Boxes and suckers will be sold as long as supplies last. Each item will cost .50 cents.
Also For Valentine’s Day, the Student Council will be selling Crush sodas. We will deliver the cans with a special note on Tuesday, February 14th during your Lunch Period. Cost is $1 per can or six cans for $5. We will only be taking orders Today and Tomorrow during your lunch period. You must pay when you order! You will need to know the NAME and GRADE of the person you wish to send the crush to and all the messages will be read beforehand to ensure that they are school appropriate. If they are not appropriate, the crush will not be delivered and you will not be refunded!
Just a Reminder that we WILL have School on Monday February 13th. This is a snow make-up day.
